DONE DEAL: Sunderland complete capture of Portuguese keeper Mika

Sunderland have announced the signing of Michael Simões Domingues (Mika) from Boavista.

Mika joins the Black Cats has signed a two-year contract at the Stadium of Light after having the deal ratified by FIFA.

Sunderland attempted to sign Mika on deadline day but technical issues denied them the chance to complete the agreement after the necessary paperwork did not got through.

However, FIFA have moved to clear up the issue and have granted the Wearside club the right to sign the 25-year-old goalkeeper.

Swiss-born former Portugal U21 international Mika has spent the past two seasons with Boavista having previously played for Benfica and Atletico CP.
