Janik Vestergaard is nearing a move to Southampton after the Saints have reportedly agreed a deal with German outfit Borussia Monchengladbach.
The defender will cost Southampton £18m, Sky Sports understands.
Vestergaard was a member of Denmark's World Cup squad although he didn't feature in Russia.
The 25-year-old has spent his entire senior career in Bundesliga, playing for Werder Bremen and Hoffenheim before joining Gladbach. Last season he made league 32 appearances.
Vestergaard will be the Saints' third signing this summer following the arrivals of Mohamed Elyounoussi from Basel and Stuart Armstrong from Celtic.
