Southampton have completed the signing of Uruguayan defender Martin Caceres.
The 29-year-old centre-half has signed a deal with the Saints as a free agent that runs until the end of the season.
Caceres last played for Italian giants Juventus about 12 months ago and has Barcelona and Sevilla among his former clubs.
Caceres told Southamptonfc.com: "I am very happy to have signed for what is an important club in English football.
"I am looking forward to getting started with my new teammates.
"Of all of the options that I had, I think that the best option for me was to come to Southampton. I am extremely happy to have joined this club."
Caceres arrives at St Mary's after Claude Puel lost Jose Fonte to West Ham United last month and captain Virgil van Dijk to injury.
