Southampton have signed goalkeeper Alex McCarthy from Crystal Palace.
The 26-year-old arrived at St Mary's for a reported fee of £4million, plus bonuses, signing a three-year deal with the Saints.
McCarthy spent just one season at Selhurst Park, where he was behind Wayne Hennessey and alongside Julian Speroni, and will now battle for the number one spot under Claude Puel with Fraser Forster following the exit of Maarten Stekelenburg to Everton and loan move of Paulo Gazzaniga to Rayo Vallecano.
"I'm over the moon to join a club like this," he told the club's official YouTube channel.
"The club is known for producing young players and they've had successful seasons. There's the Europa League to look forward to this season, so there's going to be a lot of games.
"With the stature of the club, I'm honoured to be here and I'm looking forward to getting working with everyone."
