Scunthorpe United have confirmed the signing of teenage midfielder Isaac Assenso.
The 18-year old has signed his first professional contract with the Iron after spending time in the Leeds United academy.
Assenso, who spent time on trial at Glanford Park late last season, has signed a one-year deal with the option of a further 12 months.
"I'm very happy to sign and I'm ready to hit the ground running," he told The Iron Player.
"I thought when I played (for the club last season) it went well and I really liked it. I played well and it's quite different to the style of play we had at Leeds United, but it's something I'll get used to and I'm really looking forward to it.
"I started out at a Sunday League team and I ended up at Leeds after being scouted in the under-16 season. I spent a year there and I got my scholarship, spending two years at Leeds.
"Unfortunately it didn't work out, but I'm very happy to be here focusing on Scunthorpe."
