Roma have announced the signing of Sporting CP fullback Jonathan Silva.

The transfer was confirmed in a statement on Roma's official website, with the Giallorossi able to purchase Silva in the summer.

“I'm very happy to have joined Roma, for me it's an incredible feeling," he told the club's official website.

“I'm very motivated: I want to make my contribution among this great group of players."

The 23-year-old played 43 times in 18 months with Sporting, while he has represented Argentina twice.
