Preston North End have clinched a deal for Dundalk star Daryl Horgan.

The young Irishman was also interesting Sunderland and Hull City in the Premier League.

Horgan joins Dundalk teammate Andy Boyle at the Championship club, reports the Sunday World.

The duo won't be eligible to play competitively for their new club until 1 January.

Simon Grayson's side face Burton Albion the following day before hosting Premier League title contenders Arsenal in a glamour FA Cup third round tie.
