Manchester City are closing the signing of PEC Zwolle defender Philippe Sandler.

Sandler was undergoing a City medical yesterday after PEC had accepted a record offer for the 20 year-old.

De Telegraaf says PEC will receive €3m cash plus a hefty percentage of any sell on fee.

Sandler will play out the remainder of the season with PEC, but will be loaned out to another club next term.

The Dutch youngster's agent is Mino Raiola, who agreed to the deal after considering offers from across Europe.
