DONE DEAL: Patrik Schick declares Roma 'my ideal team'

Former Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick is delighted with his move to Roma.

Schick has joined Roma on-loan with a €42m option.

“I am very satisfied to be here and very happy," Schick told Roma's official website.

“For me Roma is the ideal team. I like also the coach [Eusebio Di Francesco], his tactics - and I like the formation as well.

"I use my left foot so I feel good on the right side [of the attack] as well. I prefer to play as a number 9, in attack, but I can play on the right as well.

"I am looking forward to training with the group and getting ready for the upcoming games.

"A big salute to all the Roma fans, thanks to all of you. Forza Roma!"

Sporting director Monchi also spoke to the site, and praised the potential of the 21-year-old.

“Patrik is one of the brightest prospects in international football. We are all very satisfied to agree this deal especially because, despite being chased by a number of clubs, he has chosen us."
