Brighton defender Uwe Hunemeier is leaving the Amex at the end of this season.

He is quitting Brighton - to rejoin German club Paderborn.

Paderborn sporting director Markus Krosche said: "Uwe can set an example for our young team, and stabilise us both on and off the field.

"With his contract in England running out, this was an exceptional chance to tempt him back to Paderborn.

"He knows the club and the second division well, and he will be very valuable to us on our return to this level."
