Nice are signing Galatasaray midfielder Wesley Sneijder.

The former Real Madrid and Inter Milan star has agreed terms on a one-year deal with the option for a further year.

On Sunday evening, Nice posted on Twitter to say they had come to an "agreement in principle" with the former Real Madrid and Ajax star.

Sneijder, who arrived in Nice at 17:00 CEST, will undergo a medical on Monday and could put pen to paper later in the day.

The attacking midfielder, who played in the 2010 World Cup final for the Netherlands and has won league titles in four countries, was released by Galatasaray at the end of last season.
