Siem De Jong has left Newcastle for Ajax after completing three years of his six-year contract with the Magpies.
The Dutchman signed the mega deal when he arrived at St James' Park from Ajax in 2014.
However, de Jong failed to live up to expectations as injuries meant he only appeared in 26 matches before joining PSV Eindhoven on loan last season.
De Jong joins Emmanuel Riviere in leaving the club as Rafa Benitez attempts to cut players from his squad.
Tim Krul, Achraf Lazaar, Grant Hanley and Jack Colback are amongst those who have been told they are surplus to requirements.
