Valencia have completed the signing of Lyon defender Mouctar Diakhaby.

The France Under-21 international had been linked with Premier League clubs, but has instead sealed a move to LaLiga, signing a five-year deal until 2023.

"I am very happy to arrive at Valencia, one of the great club's of Spain, who have won many titles and have a great history," he said.

"I know it is a great team in Spain and they have high goals."

The young French international will be accompanied by former rivals who will now be his teammates for Los Che.

"Yes, that's right, I've played against players who are currently in Valencia's first team in the Youth League a few years ago," he continued.

"The age was different, some are there, others are not, but I like to meet with the players again that I have played against."
