Manchester United are close to signing Juventus fullback Alex Sandro.

The Sunday Times says United are ready to splash £50million on Aex Sandro.

The Juventus left-back is a top target for Jose Mourinho. It is believed he will be signed after next weekend's FA Cup final.

A move for Sandro puts the future of Luke Shaw in immediate doubt at United. Mourinho stated just last week that he was counting on rival left-back Ashley Young next season.

Mourinho said: “I think he's better now than he was two years ago. That's the way I see things and, next year again, he will be an important member of our squad. If he's now on 200, I hope, next season, he goes into the 250s."
