Manchester United have announced the signing of Romelu Lukaku from Everton.

The Belgian signed a five-year contract, with an option for one more year, after completing a medical in Los Angeles.

Sky Sports claims that the transfer fee could rise to £90m.

United beat off a late push from Chelsea to sign the 24-year old.

Lukaku told the club's website: "I cannot wait to run out at Old Trafford in front of 75,000 fans but before that pre-season is where the hard work starts and I am looking forward to that first training session."
