Manchester City have formally purchased LaLiga outfit Girona.
AS says the deal was struck yesterday and an announcement confirming the ownership change is expected on Wednesday.
City and Pere Guardiola will own 88.5 per cent of Girona, with the remainder being held by existing shareholders.
Guardiola, the brother of City boss Pep Guardiola, has been involved with Girona for the past two years, with his Mediabase management company helping the club's player recruitment.
Douglas Luiz, Aleix Garcia, Marlos Moreno, Pablo Maffeo and Larry Kayode have all joined Girona on-loan this season from City.
