Manchester City have a deal in place for Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte.
The Guardian says City have agreed a club-record deal for Laporte.
The Premier League leaders will pay £57million to secure the services of the centre-back.
City missed out on the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Alexis Sanchez earlier in the window but they have agreed to trigger Laporte's release clause to get their man.
The 23-year-old is due to travel to the Etihad for his medical next week before putting pen to paper on a five-year contract.
