Liverpool have secured a deal for Norwegian whizkid Edvard Sandvik Tagseth.

The 16-year-old will join the Reds' Academy, having put pen to paper on a contract this week.

Tagseth posted a picture on his Instagram alongside U18s coach Steven Gerrard and Academy director Alex Ingethorpe, declaring that he 'can't wait to get started' at Kirkby.

Liverpool agreed the deal to sign the left-footed midfielder in 2015, with the move being completed once the player had turned 16.

Tagseth has been tied FK Neset of the Norwegian fourth division.
