Sunderland have signed Sebastian Coates on loan from Liverpool.
The 23-year old Uruguayan centre-back has penned a season-long deal with the Black Cats after failing to force his way into Brendan Rodgers' first team at Anfield.
Coates, who has played 15 times for Uruguay, has been with Liverpool since joining from Nacional in 2011 but has made just 24 senior appearances. He spent time on loan with Nacional late last season.
