Leicester City have allowed defender Callum Elder join Wigan Athletic on a season-long loan.
The 22-year old has previously spent time on loan with Barnsley, Brentford, Peterborough United and Mansfield Town.
Elder, an Australian youth international, signed a new deal at the King Power last summer.
“This is an area which has been of concern, where we have lacked cover," said Latics boss Paul Cook.
“Callum is someone we are happy to have brought on board. He's young, quick, strong in the tackle and is a great addition to the squad."
CONFIRMED: @CallumElder_ becomes Latics' second signing of the day, coming in from @LCFC on loan.
