Gianni de Biasi has been named new coach of Alaves.
De Biasi is their new coach, with the veteran Italian coming in to replace the ousted Luis Zubeldia.
The former Treviso, Inter, Brescia, Palermo and Albania coach returns to Spain, where he previously worked at Levante in 2007/08, to try to save Alaves from relegation, with the Basque club having lost their first five LaLiga matches of the season without even netting a single goal.
His contract will run until the end of the current season, while there is an option to extend it by a further year.
Caretaker Javier Cabello has been in charge since Zubeldia's exit and he is the one who has been preparing the team for this weekend's clash with Real Madrid.
