Genoa have completed the signing of Benfica midfielder Adel Taarabt.

Taarabt has officially joined Genoa on an 18-month loan deal from Benfica.

It is a return to Serie A for the 27-year-old, who impressed during a loan spell at AC Milan.

Taarabt scored four goals with two assists and three yellow cards in 16 appearances for the Rossoneri in 2014.

The midfielder has also played for Lens, Tottenham, QPR, Fulham and Benfica.
