Joey Barton has signed with Championship club Burnley.
The 32-year-old midfielder has penned a one-year deal with the Clarets after leaving QPR at the end of last season.
The former Manchester City, Newcastle United and Marseille man revealed that he was 'humbled' to be joining such a club, with an impressive manager in Sean Dyche, with whom he is targeting immediate promotion back to the Premier League.
“I thought a while ago that if an opportunity came up, there are certain football clubs that you would like the chance to join, or certain managers you would like to play for. Sean was on that list," Barton told Clarets Player HD.
“I am just happy that they think the same and that I can help this group and I'm really humbled and proud to be here and can't wait to get cracking."
Additionally, Barton posted the following messages on Twitter:
Delighted to have signed for @BurnleyOfficial A football environment I cannot wait to be a part.
