Former Chelsea and Real Madrid defender Ricardo Carvalho has moved to China.
Carvalho has joined club Shanghai SIPG on a free transfer.
The 38-year-old Portugal international has teamed up with compatriot Andre Villas-Boas, who manages the Chinese Super League club.
"We welcome the arrival of Carvalho and we are convinced that he has both the ability and the experience to strengthen our defence next season," a club statement read.
Carvalho, a free-agent since leaving Monaco last year, will link up with former Chelsea midfielder Oscar, who also moved to Shanghai in this window.
