Luke Garbutt has joined Wigan Athletic on loan from Everton.
The Latics have landed the left-back until January 2 in what is a great boost for the Championship outfit.
Garbutt has been given permission by manager Ronald Koeman to go out and get regular game time after falling behind Leighton Baines, Bryan Oviedo and Brendan Galloway at Goodison Park.
Wigan boss Gary Caldwell was thrilled to have competed a temporary deal for Garbutt after losing a pair of key defenders to injury.
"We've been hit with injuries to Reece James and Andy Kellett and it was clear we needed someone in," said Caldwell said on Wigan's official website.
"Luke is a tremendous young player with a big future in the game and we are delighted to have reached an agreement to bring him here.
"He knows the division well having spent last season on loan with Fulham and he adds excellent competition to the squad.
"He has great energy, and is a dynamic defender who is comfortable as a wing back or as part of a flat back four."
The 23-year-old has had previous loan stints with Fulham, Colchester United and Cheltenham Town.
