Jeremie Boga has become the 28th Chelsea player currently out on loan after joining Birmingham until the end of the season.
The Ivorian started in the Blues opening day loss to Burnley, but was substituted after 18 minutes following Gary Cahill's sending off.
Before making the switch, Boga signed a new three-year deal with Chelsea after impressing mightily during the club's pre-season tour of Asia.
The 20-year old, who has spent the last two season's on loan at Rennes and Granada, will now test himself in the Championship after becoming Harry Redknapp's ninth signing of the summer.
