Burnley have completed the signing of Matthew Lowton.
The 26-year old defender has joined the Clarets from Aston Villa on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
Right-back Lowton arrives at Turf Moor after spending the past three seasons in the Premier League with Villa. Prior to that, he started his career with Sheffield United and enjoyed loan spells with Sheffield FC and Ferencvaros.
Lowton, who has become Burnley's first summer signing, is eager to help the Lancashire club experience immediate promotion back to England's top flight.
"There were a few other clubs interested but it was a no-brainer to come here and play regular football at a club that is hoping to be pushing for promotion back to the Premier League," Lowton said.
