Doncaster Rovers are swooping for Southampton striker Billy Sharp.

The Daily Mail says a group of Irish investors have made funds available to manager Paul Dickov and that high-profile names will be recruited as a consequence.

Doncaster are exploring the possibility of luring Sharp back to the Keepmoat Stadium, 18 months after selling him to Southampton for £1.8million.
