Doncaster Rovers star Lomana Lualua admits his time in Qatar was a horror show.
LuaLa, 31, takes on Everton today desperate to repay boss Ian Holloway for rescuing him.
He said: "I want to do well for Ian. He reminds me of Harry Redknapp, only more crazy. He gives players confidence."
LuaLua said: "When I was playing in Qatar it was the most horrible period of my life. I struggled to adapt to the lifestyle and their attitude to matches.
"When I told my club I was unhappy and wanted to leave, they forced me to train with five-year-olds. They took away my passport and refused to give it back so I could not escape.""They used to train in 90 degrees, which was affecting my health, and games were played in huge stadiums with no fans.
