Doncaster boss O'Driscoll confident landing Man City's Mills

Doncaster boss Sean O'Driscoll remains confident of bringing Manchester City defender Matt Mills to the Keepmoat Stadium on a permanent basis.

The 21-year-old centre-half enjoyed two loan spells with Rovers last season, becoming an integral part of the side that clinched promotion to the Championship.

O'Driscoll told Doncaster's official website: "Matt is keen to come and we have had tentative discussions with his agents and that is ongoing.

"I am due to see him again before the end of next week to try to move it on a little bit further.

"All along, Manchester City have indicated the figure that we would have to pay for Matt and they have stuck by their guns.

"When we took him on loan and indicated whether there would be a deal in the future, they indicated the figure and we are happy with that."
