Newcastle United striker Ryan Donaldson is sweating on a new contract offer.
Donaldson admits he is playing for his future at St James' Park.
He is off contract in June and was in the squad for defeat to Birmingham City.
He told the Evening Chronicle: "It was good to get back.
"I wouldn't like to have come back with just a few weeks left.
"It's a good chance for the gaffer to see us and make a decision, so I'll get my head down and hopefully impress him."
