Donadoni pleased with Napoli performance

Napoli boss Roberto Donadoni was pleased to collect a point after their 0-0 draw with AC Milan.

"I am satisfied with the performance," he said of the 0-0 draw with Milan. In truth the Partenopei had scored, but Marek Hamsik was incorrectly flagged offside.

"I don't want to add anything about the disallowed goal, as you have to be phenomenal to spot such a tiny distance between players. Obviously it would've been nicer if he had, but we can't expect miracles!

"I would rather focus on the performance of my players, who were gritty, intense and kept the tempo up to put Milan under pressure."

This was Donadoni's home debut since replacing Edy Reja and so far he is unbeaten with two draws.

"Everyone knows the Rossoneri's characteristics, but what I wanted to do this week was give the side confidence in its own abilities.

"This is a young squad that has suffered some setbacks and that knocked their belief, but they can achieve great things.

"Above all they had to change their attitude and when you are focused and feel you know what you are doing, the legs follow.

"This is just the beginning and we have to continue along this path now."
