Italy coach Roberto Donadoni has opened the door to an international return for Sampdoria striker Antonio Cassano.

On-loan from Real Madrid, Cassano made his Samp debut as a substitute in Sunday night's 0-0 draw with Genoa.
Donadoni said: "It will depend very much or nearly exclusively on him. Yesterday evening I have seen a glimpse, a promise of good things to come. Cassano is a player of the greatest qualities, he must be convinced of this and knows that only by training hard and showing continuity in his performances the door will reopen."
