Donadoni open to Udinese job

Former Italy coach Roberto Donadoni has welcomed talk linking him with Udinese.

"I have not been a Coach for six months and I am disappointed to be out of work. I want to get back in the game," he told Il Friuli.

"I can only say that where there is a serious project in place with concrete targets, then I am ready. That is true for every squad, including Udinese."

Current Friulani boss Pasquale Marino is hanging by a thread after his team slid into crisis, having picked up just two points from their last eight Serie A games.

"Unfortunately in football these things happen and it is always difficult to give a verdict from the outside," continued Donadoni.

"I couldn't say what sparked this crisis. Udinese are a good squad, one of the best for long periods of the season both in terms of performance and results.

"It is in moments of difficulty that you can tell the character of a team, but with the Coach they have the quality of the players, they need confidence."
