Italy coach Roberto Donadoni insists there's life after Francesco Totti and Alessandro Nesta.
AC Milan defender Nesta and Roma captain Totti have both announced their international retirements and Donadoni says: "The history of the Azzurri is full of great players missing big games for various reasons.
"I don't believe that we will be an incomplete group.
"The discussion about Nesta and Totti is over and I have to say that their public explanations convinced me.
"We have lost two world-class players, but the national side should be for players who have the desire. It will be a really difficult year which will start as last season left off, but I can call upon a special group."
