Roberto Donadoni has pleaded for patience from Napoli fans as he kicks off his new career.

"It is a bit difficult to get an exact idea of what the team is and its issues in the space of three days," explained Donadoni in his Press conference.

"You need from seven to 15 days before you are able to put forth a first analysis. This is a period of evaluation, so both for me and the players it is premature to discuss ideas.

"In these few days I have had a good response in terms of physical fitness, but these are reactions you have when there is a change in management.

"I think there was too much pressure on these lads, but now they must realise that their position in the table is not a disaster and we must start to show our true colours."
