Newcastle United reserves coach Willie Donachie has played down talk of offering terms to Bognor Regis striker Jason Prior.
Prior scored for the United second string in their 3-1 win over Wigan Athletic Reserves.
However, despite remaining on trial, Donachie told the Evening Chronicle: "I don't know if he is going to be good enough for Newcastle.
"He is a great lad, a lovely person with a fantastic attitude and he scores goals."
Scouts from Cardiff City, Hibernian and Norwich City were all in attendance yesterday.
Donachie added: "It has been a great experience for him and who knows?
"It will be up to the manager to decide how far we take it.
"It was a fantastic finish and he has shown in training he can score goals.""There were a lot of scouts there, and hopefully somebody will see he has to be better than the level he is playing at.
