Dominic Calvert-Lewin was delighted to get off the mark for Everton U23 in victory over Manchester United this week.
It marked the striker's first goal since his move from Sheffield United.
“It is a great feeling obviously," he told evertontv. “In the last few games I have had a few chances to get a goal, so to get one against United is fantastic. I'm glad to open my account.
“We knew we had to press them high up the pitch, make them make mistakes and punish them.
“It was one of those situations where you just keep working and your chance will come. When it did, it was an open net and I just had to stay composed and tuck it away."
