Ghana U20 star Dominic Adiyiah admits his move to AC Milan has surprised him.

The young striker was named player of the tournament at last month's U20 World Cup and will move to Milan in January.

Adiyiah told Gazzetta.it: "Initially I was surprised, I thought it was just rumours in the market. AC Milan is the dream of every player! But then I was informed officially and really exploded with joy, I truly hope to reach the Rossoneri in January.

"But I want to maintain a low profile since now I'm under contract with Fredrikstad, even if the decision has already been taken, of course. Now everything is in the hands of agents and clubs.

"I have to just stay quiet, and wait."
