Dods hails Dundee Utd boss Levein

Darren Dods has hailed the impact made at Dundee United by manager Craig Levein.

"Earlier in the season we'd beaten Rangers 2-1 at Tannadice on the Saturday and Hamilton 3-1 in the League Cup in midweek," said Dods. "When we went to Pittodrie the following Saturday to play Aberdeen, the manager kept an unchanged side and we lost 2-0. I think he felt after that game he might have freshened things up.

"Craig is a very thorough manager and if he thinks he should have done something differently then he won't make the same mistake twice. We have a quality manager at United who has brought in experienced players like myself as well as lads from the lower leagues such as Danny Swanson from Berwick."
