Dodo is finding himself frozen out at Inter Milan.
The Brazilian was a first-choice under former coach Walter Mazzarri, but doesn't fit in the plans of Roberto Mancini.
Dodo joined Inter on a two-season loan from AS Roma worth €1.2 million, with a permanent sale for €7.8 million set for 2017.
However, Inter chief Piero Ausilio now faces a dilemma, with Mancini not regarding the defender as a long-term option.
The permanent option is 'compulsory', leaving Ausilio with the prospect of having to find a new club for Dodo in the coming months.
