Travis Dodd's mooted move to Perth Glory appears to be off after recent comments he made stating his desire to stay with Adelaide United.
The Reds captain has been heavily linked with a big-money move to Western Australia for next season but it seems as though he will sort a new deal with Adelaide - the club he loves so much.
"I have made it clear to the club, coaching and football staff that I want to remain in Adelaide, finish my football career here," said Dodd.
"I have to make the right choice for my family and it is a tough decision when it comes to thinking about moving. The club means a lot to me. I would give my right leg to win any game for the club.
"I want to win a championship here."
And ahead of tonight's knockout final with Wellington Phoenix, Dodd admitted that this seasons line-up was the best he has played with at the club.
"It's probably the best side I have been in," he added.
"We are blessed with speed and difficult to shut down. We have wingers then Serg (van Dijk) and Cassio bombing down the left flank - we are capable of going all the way this year."
