Mike Summerbee says Manchester City fans are so quiet this season because Manuel Pellegrini's team is so good!

City legend Summerbee believes the lack of atmosphere at the Etihad Stadium is down to the fact the supporters are so enthralled by Pellegrini's attacking cavaliers.

"They have got so much ability," he told the Daily Express. "Someone said to me at a match the other day that it was very quiet and that the crowd weren't making much noise.

"I told them it was because they were in awe of what they were watching. I was in awe.

"You can compare the way the two teams play. In my era we were having a shot at goal with every three passes. That's how quickly we attacked.

"This season we are attacking so much quicker. Our manager has stressed he wants to play attractive, attacking football and it is very similar to that period we played in."
