Borussia Dortmund midfielder Shinji Kagawa has hit rock bottom this week.

The former Manchester United ace has been dropped to BVB's Regionalliga team.

While BVB were being beaten by Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, Japan international Kagawa was playing in Germay's fourth tier against Rot-Weiss Essen.

Kagawa delivered a professional performance, despite his fall, producing three assists in the 5-0 win.

So far this season, Kagawa has only made coach Lucien Favre's matchday squad three times.
