Jose Mourinho has told Manchester United chiefs he'd welcome the return of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.
La Sexta says United have conducted a 'feasibility study into the prospect of bringing back the unsettled Real star - which has included heavy consultation with Mourinho.
And the United manager has given his approval as he enters the final stage of talks over a new contract.
It's suggested United believe the total deal could cost as much as €400m in total to re-sign Ronaldo, including a near €200m transfer fee, but the club's marketing directors claim a major profit can still be made through merchandise.
And for his part, Mourinho has given his green light for the deal, despite claims of tension with his fellow Portuguese in the past.
