Miroslav Djukic has left his job as coach of Valencia.
Valencia youth coach Nico Estevez will take charge of the first team against Real Madrid this weekend after Djukic left his role as head coach of the Primera Division club.
In a press conference televised on the club's official website, Djukic said he was the only one to blame for the decision.
"I have not managed to put Valencia where I said when I arrived, so I'm the one to blame," he said.
Club president Amadeo Salvo confirmed 33-year-old Estevez had assumed Djukic's responsibilities while a permanent successor is sought.
