Young Australian striker Bruce Djite managed to find the back of the net but could not lead Genclerbirligi to a win in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday.
Gencler’ went down 3-1 to Istanbul Buyuksehir in an amazing match that saw three goals scored within four minutes.
Istanbul’s Ali Guzeldal made it 1-0 in the 54th minute before Ibrahim Akin added a second a minute later.
In the 57th minute, former Adelaide United goal scorer Djite got on back for his side, ending a action-packed few minutes of play.
Akin managed to round out the win for Istanbul in the 78th minute with his second.
Genclerbirligi dropped to 14th with the loss whilst Istanbul moved closer to climbing out of the drop zone and sit in 16th spot.
