Dixon backs Arsenal's pursuit of Real Madrid's Higuain

Former Arsenal star Lee Dixon is of the belief that Gonzalo Higuain would be a perfect fit for the club.

The Real Madrid striker is being hotly pursued by the Gunners, who could break their wage structure to pay him more than £100,000-a-week, but Dixon suggests it would be worth it.

"If it comes off [Higuain signing for Arsenal], hopefully from an Arsenal point of view, he's quality through and through," Dixon told Sky Sports News.

"He will score goals there's no doubt about that. He will get chances at Arsenal because they do create chances, they play his type of game so I think he'll fit in really well."
