Everton have announced that Sylvain Distin has signed a new contract with the club.
The 34-year old French defender has penned a one-year deal with the Toffees after his last contract expired at the end of the recently-completed season.
Distin, who was named the Players' Players of the Season, joined Everton from Portsmouth in 2009 and has since made 115 appearances for the Goodison Park outfit.
He posted on Twitter: "Contract sorted. I'll be with you next season guys. I'm happy about that."
