Sylvain Distin believes FA Cup winners Portsmouth underachieved last season.
He said: "It was fantastic to win the FA Cup, but it could have been even better if we had got that fifth place in the Premier League.
And Distin, who was persuaded to come to Pompey by Harry Redknapp, was also quick to praise the manager for his efforts.
Distin said: "It's great for Harry, great for the players and it's an amazing achievement for the club. Harry was one of the main reasons I came to Portsmouth. He is a great coach and he knows how to deal with players."
